I feel it would look better with brown leather strap. That watch on a polished bracelet looks odd. Does it have giant lugs, they look 22mm? Those pushers, on this face .....I juts don't get it.

That's the whole point. The ugly duckling of Patek. The anti Calatrava. The Daytona rival. Lol

Change of pace - what do your wives/gf wear in the sub 10k range? Wife just got a big promotion and works in fashion and looking to surprise her. She borrows from my collection semi frequently (mostly my no date sub and speedy) so not limited to “ladies” sized options only. Leaning auto/mechanical but not inherently opposed to quartz

Can’t go wrong with Cartier for women.

Sounds like she likes classic men-sized watches and styles. Maybe get her a GMT, Explorer, Hulk or a two-tone Sub.

Also agree that you can't go wrong with Cartier.

Cartier is definitely on the list, also reversos. Also digging into vintage Rolex in the old 36mm men’s case size

How about the Slim D’Hermes? Not that common, would get props both from ladies who lunch and the Redbar crowd.

If she's in fashion she should be wearing anything but subs and dj. Cartier is a safe choice but I recommend a used Van Cleef and Arpels or Harry Winston.

Used bro. Plenty of them in Tokyo pawn shops for less than 10k.
