Eh, Belligero, you may have misinterpreted... possible I have.

See above with regard to watch winder.
@qtlaw move it to a study or non public room, wife won’t know it exists.

Yeah, that was my interpretation as well. Yes, either move it to a different room or simply don't use a winder. Doesn't seem like you'd need it for only two watches.

Yeah, your interpretation seems way more likely. :)

I bet you are. It’s a great watch, and its movement is a real pleasure to operate. There just aren’t many chronographs that offer such high levels of toughness/reliability and refinement.

Congrats! Excellent choice. Really a handsome watch, and the entire execution is fantastic. Which dial color did you choose (not that you can go wrong either way). I always favor black, so that's what I went with but my father has the white dial. Cheers

Moving it to another room is a possibility but not as convenient. Need winder because wear one for weekends and one during week.

Black! However, I like the white enormously... it was tough.

Of the watches I keep at home, they are in the study. Posses no inconvenience. If you have a WIR, find space for them in there, they aren’t that noisy that they would be annoying, surely?
Alternatively, buy the wife some ear-plugs :).

The direction of being in control of production made a lot of sense in the Fine Watch Making Collection. But the designs and prices became too large. Many collectors I know that own a some CPCP watches had little to no interest in anything from the Fine Watch Making Collection.

More people I know liked the classic designs, elements and more reasonable sizes and prices that came with the CPCP watches. Many of the early Fine Watch Making pieces were offered only with gray dials that I didn't think worked well with many of their designs, or later plain white dials, rather than the elegant silver dials many Cartier fans were accustomed to. One can only hope that since Cartier has successfully revived their Santos, and the Tank Americaine...that they will be able to revive a line successful line of very dressy watches and complicated pieces in the future.

Yup, the CPCP pieces were the business. It was a shame that they suffered supply chain issues. It baffles me, so many resources and they could not do it alone? Still, I look forward to a new and improved offering sometime in the future.

Is watch market living through bubble? Do you foresee crash similar to Quarz crash? Are top 5, 150% overpriced or more due to i-gents factor?

Current watch-market bubble is of recent making and coincides with bubble in the vintage market at every price point. I doubt RU/Chinese buyers are shopping for vintage watches on Ebay, at least not in large enough numbers to move the prices 3-400%.
    I blame Hoodinkies etc.
