Wow, sorry to hear about the burglary. Unfortunately, a watch like your dad's old Omega isn't the kind of thing that can be replaced, even if insured. Again, sorry to hear about your losing those watches.

Same here, I never keep all of my watches at home.

Sorry Mimo. It is painful losing things that have real sentimental value.

    :(

I hope the scrote who stole your Dad's watch gets the karmic equivalent of an involuntary colonoscopy.

I celebrated the one year anniversary of our burglary this week. The sting is definitely still evident, though it has become a bit dull over time. I very much hope that unlike me, you are well insured. My condolences for your loss and my thoughts to you and your family for the violation.

    Is this the PAM 422?

Also im a bit of a noob to the watch market and have been eying panerai a bit. I think the 44mm size is the biggest i could go and i really like the Luminor models. Wanted to see what you guys would recommend from the luminor base or marina models. I want the watch to be mostly casual but also give me a chance to wear it formally w/a change of a strap.

Apologies in advance if i am asking way too basic of questions.

Its a 632, my first Panerai and i like it but think it will be leaving soon. The 44mm size i think works well even though im more used to 34-37mm

    Hi all watch lovers!

This is Michelle, a new joiner to Styleforum. I was just on Google looking up ultra-thin watches and this link came up.

We are launching a new brand focusing on ultra-thin watches and would be grateful to hear opinions from you all. Although our collection is not as thin as Piaget's, we are able to make ours thinnest in the below $300 party, merely 4.8mm thick. This idea came into mind as I found there are very limited choices of ultra-thin watches in the market that are at premium quality with honest pricing. Despite the thin case being one of our key selling points, all our watches house a Ronda Swiss movement, which has up to 6 years battery life and we source the finest full grain leather from Italy for our soft and durable leather straps.

Feel free to check out our affiliate thread here in case you have any questions.
