I gotta disagree with you on this watch. I think I posted about this a long time ago, but I saw a guy in streetwear wearing this watch before and it was such an awesome fit. So amazing looking that I have considered getting one myself many times. This is an exceptionally coherent watch.
I think we are going to have to agree to disagree. I've never been a fan of the modern Breguet Marines. I think sometimes one can see a watch in the wild and it can either change your mind, or it can solidify your opinion. In my case it solidified my opinion.

I was in a very nice sunglass/eyeglasses store (I might have a slight sunglasses addiction ;)). They carry everything from Raybans, Maui Jims, and Persols, to higher price point products from Dita, Cartier, Chanel, Bvlgari, etc. A guy in his early 60's pulled up with a new Bentley convertible. He walked in wearing a black dial gold Breguet Marine, and looked like a caricature of a guy from the 80s. He was wearing a neon colored Sergio Tecchini tennis warm up suit, a neon shirt that might have been the kind from the 80s that changed color with change of temperature, and big Cazal glasses! It was like Rick Flair, combined with the late Cubbie's announcer Harry Caray. He was about 40 years to late for a cameo in Miami Vice. So yeah, didn't like the watch to start with, and liked it even less in the wild.

Imagine something like this with matching pants... with theses glasses

Looking like Rick Flair

A better look at the matte charcoal dial.
I’m sure lots of people look at that as another black dial Rolex sports watch but the subtle differences like the dark charcoal dial, raised polished numbers on the bezel and [best of all] the fully brushed bracelet make for a fairly unique watch.

Easy to add that to one’s collection even if you already own an LN bezel Sub, SD or GMT (or multiples of each 😃).

Must have been a nice surprise!! Love it. Please post lots of pictures 👊.
