Look on the JLC website. The straps are described as CALFskin straps from the Fagliano collection. I have one of the straps on my watch. I know the difference between calfskin and cordovan.Fagliano does not do calf straps.
The calf ones have the same Fagliano design but are not made by Fagliano. Fagliano is in Hurlingham. Look at your strap. It very likely says “Made in France” and I’ve seen a few “Made in Switzerland.”Look on the JLC website. The straps are described as CALFskin straps from the Fagliano collection. Agreed on the Lange 1. Lange made a manual wind in 34mm with the big date. Not sure if you are familiar with this model. Not quite 31mm, but I don’t think Lange ever went smaller.I like the lange 1 but it's Too Big .
big date is meaningless on a 38mm dial . 'little lange 1' is 36.8 mm smh .
astonish me with a big date on 31mm
This is the deep knowledge that has been lacking here of late. Shades of Foo and his recutting vs polishing Patek lore.Just did a little more research to confirm that what the Fagliano family told me had no changed in the last couple of years.
The JLC website refers to its leather Reverso straps as “Fagliano designed” rather than made by Fagliano. And that dovetailes with the Fagliano website that refers to its straps as cordovan with no mention of them making leather versions.

Casa Fagliano handcrafts the Reverso’s watch strap with the same cordovan leather used to make the polo boots. Special sizes & customizations are available.www.casafagliano.com

Apparently!Most did.
Well, I did burn the leather and cordovan straps to study their residue. This is the deep knowledge that has been lacking here of late. Shades of Foo and his recutting vs polishing Patek lore.
Like pouring one out for the hommies. Gotta honor those who are no longer with us.Well, I did burn the leather and cordovan straps to study their residue.
Haha...I'm a big fan of the GO PanoMaticLunar. Don't love the power reserve on the Lange 1.or the worst offender, the GO Pano...simply a less attractive copy of the Lange 1.
Sorry my friend, we will have to agree to disagree as to which design is better (even though my view is correctHaha...I'm a big fan of the GO PanoMaticLunar. Don't love the power reserve on the Lange 1.

Bro, 100% agree. The Patek 3796 might suit you perfectly. 31mm and came in a lot of variations yet new enough that you can still find them in terrific condition.I think this is terrific !
I really do like lange's design language even if the font ( so to speak ) is not exactly to my taste .
I think i've figured out what i'll be shopping for in the next year or two .
it will be small by the standards of this threak but I am very convinced that the strap or bracelet should be more significantly visible than it often is here frankly ( I know I know camera angles etc but I think a lot of folks wear as oversized , that's fine just not my taste ) .
I think the classic tank is an evergreen contender for a onewatch . the way ali wore it with the strap . the trad size . black lizard or croc and gold case . silver guilloche with the Roman numerals . super easy to wear with a ballcap . not too showy .
I really like the Reverso but I actually think it's too big haha . I could see a gold Rolex probably op in 31mm on a strap . that would be pretty under-the-radar but satisfying .
my wrists aren't small fwiw my left wrist is *checks* 7-7/8" these days so . but I do think that I am sort of at odds with the general taste here for ~36mm sport watches . they do look good on folks just not what I be comfortable wearing tbh .
again , for me , the strap should be more prominent and the watch should really sit the **** down on the wrist . it's funny to me that what could be considered 'undersizing' lol isn't more of a convo amongst the watch internet ( after watching steel model after steel model succumb it was the next logical step ) but I suppose the bubble has already burst so ... anyways I prefer the look and feel I think . will update when I kop .
recommendations appreciated btw . something in a very classic size ( ~32mm that's not a maximum ) in a ballcap config and preferably available in yellow gold . will consider bracelet but prefer strap .
