@pmeis - Habring is the epitome of a @pmeis brand. It operates within what I understand to be your price range. It is somewhat obscure. It offers something that is unavailable within that price range. It is somewhat reserved and classical but still interesting. It has a story. There are a few other brands that come to mind (Trilobe?) but Habring is one of them.
I have never owned a Habring but I admire their watches. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I had purchased this perpetual for $7,500.
Welp, 10 months later Newcomer was on to something. Threw a minimum big on an eBay auction for a laugh and to my horror and delight, I won. Price was basically equivalent to the lowest price I had seen one trade for, so I did okay. Wasn't really planning on buying something like this until next year, but here we are...
In theory, I would have preferred the 38.5mm version vs the 40mm, but being Titanium and a featuring an "alternative" dial design, it still wears well and probably helps the legibility. The thickly bolstered gator strap blows, but I have a handful of 20mm options, so giving this taupe saffiano a try first.
