I love the guilloche dials on the tradition. So sharp.

A fella just stood next to me at the crosswalk. He was wearing black patent leather penny loafers with black ankle socks. His crispy jeans terminated above his ankles. And a white Fruit of the Loom type of T-shirt. No watch. But it was such a solid look I want to replicate but need a watch recommendation to match. Please help.

Picked up a 1951 Patek 1491!
That is seriously over polished. You can see the case between the lugs. A few people on the thread have had their watches recut to original spec. Please consider it but note that Patek will not do it so it may void the warranty. Also, the dial appears fake. The “L” in PHILLIPE seems to have too small of a gap for a watch from 1491.

For what it's worth, all the examples I've seen of 1491's online have the lugs like this, and this watch was recently serviced by Patek in 2020, with the service receipt corroborating it. As for the dial, the seller disclosed that it was replaced early on in its lifetime, though unclear of what period.

Sorry my post was a big miss at humor. What I meant was your new watch is utterly fantastic. I was actually unfamiliar with the reference. Yours looks amazing, minus those socks. Please edit the photo and post frequently. Maybe only Clouseau’s Piaget and Newcomer’s vintage piece he posted a while back are on par. Yours is an absolutely gorgeous watch.

Looks like Omega finally released the two-tone Speedmasters on a strap.
