  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Yes, Hodinkee's quasi-journalistic glory days are in the past, but still some very nice photos to peruse: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a...-we-saw-at-the-biggest-antique-show-in-the-us
I certainly couldn't pull it off, but this fuchs hard as a "Miami" look.

idk the watch itself has a waltham vibe
One of my best mates lives in Ashland, MA who's (sole?) claim to fame is Henry Warren invented the synchronous electric clock there in 1918. The high school football team is still called "The Clockers".

I know the area well. My grandfather worked for that clock company during GE ownership as well as Timex ownership.

We spent 5 years living right down the road in Hopkinton. All our neighbors worked for either EMC, Intel or Bose. Metrowest Boston has long been a kinda stealth tech/innovation hub.

New watch. Hard to explain what this dial looks like in person from the photos, but the dial looks like you could dive right into it.

I like the cushion case quite a bit. And the dial color is handsome, even in photos. The hour markers are a bit…schizophrenic, tho? All in all, a nifty pick up!

California dial.

I can’t shake the panerai homage vibes though.
Yeah, the “California” dial has come up before in a variety of contexts (particularly looking at you Nomos!). I’ll just say, having a proper name to describe a “tradition” doesn’t validate anything. Like, if I say “I’m against murder” and you say “it’s technically homicide” - yeah, cool, I’m still not down….
;-)
