Terrible! But i wasnt even aware the AD in particular was named? maybe i just missed it amoungst all the champagne dick measuring...
I didn’t catch the mention of the actual AD either. Sounds like either an inside job, a Jussie Smollett number, or aTyler Durden episode?

On a more serious note: to the psychos lurking (and present): Chill! Even when people post ridiculously ill-advised personal info, let’s respect everyone’s real privacy!

This thread can be fun albeit raucous/ridiculous, but let’s keep it safe and respect common sense boundaries!

I find it interesting that everyone's mind immediately went to stalker creep contacting the AD. If the guy was asking the AD questions after reading about a very expensive watch purchase (by someone disclosing their real name) and an intentional dodge of the sales tax obligation, I think it more likely we're dealing with (i) a criminal or (ii) someone with an axe to grind looking into the sales tax issue for purposes of making an anonymous complaint to a state agency.

Not sure that narrows it down, though. I just found this image after searching “anyone who has ever had a conversation with foo…”

If I was the AD, I’d be worried about this getting back to Patek and resulting in consequences with maintaining AD status. Not a good look.

Someone narcing on Foo’s alleged sales tax evasion/fraud is pretty outrageous.

Dude, foo will just have another sit-down meeting with the Sterns and explain how UMC Manhattanites do illegal business.

Live and learn, bud!
Foo’s Patek odyssey has been epic.

To name a few moments:

—Patek wouldn’t fix his 5296 case that he overpolished, so he scoured the world to find the best independent craftsman, who fixed it.
—His lovely wife flew to Ireland to pick up his 5170 after finding the last remaining NOS available in the world.
—Said 5170 had to first be re-cut at Patek (not to be confused with polishing).
—He was turned down by the Caribbean AD for being a flipper (which may become true if he offloads the 5167 as he is contemplating).
—He was given a paper placeholder for a 5811 that doesn’t exist but was shipped out of state for “rea$on$”.
