I've always liked Sinn. Issued to German SAR and a some others they are excellent tool watches. This new one is a miss for me. Really don't like the day-date configuration. Not sure if I don't like it as it's unusual or just awful?

Yeah, makes sense. Wouldn't buy it but don't hate it.Seems like they were going for a bit more playful of a vibe with this one. I don't hate it, but I'm not exactly interested in it either.

Laureato is a fantastic watch. It the sort of watch that George Red would say is better than a Royal Oak or Nautilus if one were to try it on.
Another idea for a 3 watch collection
Is the GP the 38mm?
Another idea for a 3 watch collection
If you do any sports then you need actual sports watch. Unless you are Connor McGregor, PP or Datejust is not the best option. You know, I could never really figure out why specifically 3 watch collections are so popular; in particular I can’t figure out what you would actually use the third watch for. A dress watch for formal wear and a sports watch for casual wear, and then what? I find it hard to see people actually running into a scenario where the Sub or Speedy that typically shows up on these sorts of lists is more appropriate than a Datejust or a Nautilus.
I fail to see why on either count. And regardless I have a hard time envisioning very many watch enthusiasts doing such intensive physical activity that even a workhorse Rolex becomes unsuitable. If you do any sports then you need actual sports watch. I think you misunderstand the point. These sort of posts are made by hoarders. 3 of anything is truly aspirational. It’s like an alcoholic saying he wishes he could just stick with Coors light and bud light. But whiskey exists so it cannot be helped. You know, I could never really figure out why specifically 3 watch collections are so popular; in particular I can’t figure out what you would actually use the third watch for. Well yes, but given the idea of reducing a watch collection to 3 is for said hoarders to envision taking a deliberately minimalist or maybe even ascetic approach, why not make it 2?I think you misunderstand the point. The addict always says, “I will just have one.” But has another. That is the general approach with watch enthusiasts. It is also true of most people who become members of this forum whether it be for suits, shoes, ties, or whatever.Well yes, but given the idea of reducing a watch collection to 3 is for said hoarders to envision taking a deliberately minimalist or maybe even ascetic approach, why not make it 2?
The reason I’m quite curious as well is because 3 as a number seems to be the default with watch travel cases, and call me crazy, but I think it’s an interesting parallel that might have actual implications on how people think about their collections when forced to strip down to the smallest single digit number they can.
