I think it's distinctive and cool. I also think it's too big for you, but phone pics can exaggerate that, and it's only my (possibly distorted) perspective.

My first thought was, that looks kind of cool as it is something different from the usual IWC Portuguese that pops up. Congrats on the pick up. What made you decide on this particular design?

I like the case, as I'm a fan of non-round cases. However, even for a chronograph, which will always have a lot happening, the dial seems a bit too busy. In addition, as Mimo mentioned, it does seem a bit large for you but maybe that just in photos. Still a nice change from the usual IWC products we see here. Congrats and enjoy!

So this twitter pic of former NY Giant defensive end Michael Strahan has been making the rounds, basically showing how mangled his hands are, after a long NFL career.

And while yeah, he's got a very jacked up finger ... it's pretty sad that the first thing I actually noticed was his (gold!) Calibre de Cartier.

(Cue up Jeff Foxworthy: "You might be a redneck WIS"). :D

Fair warning: this is more of a bendy appendage photo... not a "watch" photo....and possibly not for the faint of heart....

Edit: only $44,800 direct from Cartier's website. Strahan = small-timer LOL

No wonder I couldn't find this thread! A new one was started. Wearing this today. Always appreciate the suggestion from Dino for planting the seed whenever I strap it on. I wear it even on casual days like today. [IMG] [IMG]

Just curious if there are any Patek 5167A Aquanaut owners out there?

Been thinking about scratching my itch for one of these pieces.....

There are a few here. I've never liked the Aquanaut. If I were buying a sporty Patek it would be a Nautilus 5711 or 5712/A but to each his own. Cheers!

I don't 'get' the Aquanaut at all.

But who knows, maybe a flurry of pictures on here will warm my cold heart.

I've never liked the Aquanaut either. Nautilus for me every time.

Strahan's watch game is very strong. Watch his show for a few days in a row, and you'll see some nice pieces.

    Seconded.

I actually like the way it looks. And it's still a fucking Patek. If it were $5000, I may very well have bought it. But for $20,000 it seems so ... ordinary.
