I like the design very much but the movement sucks.Seiko relaunches its "King Seiko" line with a re-edition (of sorts) of a King Seiko from 1965:

The pricing seems rather ambitious. It looks as though, with the price increases for Grand Seiko watches over the past few years, Seiko now wants to position King Seiko as an intermediate option between the regular Seiko and Grand Seiko lines.
There are lots of King Seiko watches on eBay in very good (sometimes excellent) condition. This does look very nice and I'm sure it will sell (it's a limited edition of 3000 pieces), but it's a bit of a stretch to charge US$3000 for this version when you can get a very nice original for around a fifth of that price.
