At least @voxsartoria had good taste.
Who is this @twatsartori you are talking about? As I recall he had a decent shoe collection and nice sunglasses but that has nothing to do with watch taste. That’s right, he bought a nice JLC time only vintage years ago and an ALS up down was it? My memory is rusty but he is an odd reference for this thread. By the standard of this thread lately he has crap taste. I don’t recall his praise of Rolex or Speedmaster watches but I will let @TheFooper provide the history lesson.

He also had a nice Seiko Blue Spark, which they sadly discontinued years ago (without replacing it with anything as nice).

And an Archimede (no-logo?) Flieger, that was some kind of special order, IIRC.

I owned the blue one for about 6 months. I really liked and kind of wish I still had it. Even though it was a chronograph, it was probably the most formal watch I owned. I mainly moved it on as I picked up a sportier blue Chronograph that was a bit better fit for my general lifestyle and since I only keep around 4-5 pieces at a time, it didn't make sense to carry two blue chronos. My main complaint on the 146 though was that the default strap it came with was a bit short. I was on the last hole with my just a bit over 7" wrist.

What do you guys think of the new Bell & Ross Genta inspired watch?

Also the new Oris Big Crown Skeleton looks amazing for the money once you factor in what they'll be at on the grey market/used. 10 day power reserve, skeletonized, in house etc...

Also also also...I want a JLC DuoMetre really bad. :(

Well, it certainly looks Genta inspired with a little VC 222 interloper in the mix.
Initially, I like it. However, my initial thoughts often prove the wrong thoughts after time. (May be why no impulse buy has lasted more than 12 months in my collection!)

Oris: not looked.

Duometre: JLC have very successfully filled this space. Much undervalued.
