Up until the shot of the house across the field it was a pretty good episode, but that just pulled me back. Then the kid compounded it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the kid pull the gun before Shane gets up?

I'd lay odds that's never discussed.

P.S. just saw next week's preview which takes place moments after the shot. Kid asks, "what happened?" No discussion of why he pulled a gun on the dad.

That could have been handled a number of ways. Would have been much better to have Shane die as the comic does.

I can't believe people are hating on this show when the graphic novel's dialogue is apparently terrible.

You will accept leaden dialogue in a comic long before you will live action.

so... why are there 50 million zombies so close to that house? what happened to the invincible mud moat?

so... one zombie makes it through.... they all telepathically know how to make it past the house?

Herschel mentioned that the moat/creek was drying up, hence everyone boarding up in the house.
