The Governor wasn't a great character, but Morrissey played him as a pantywaist making him useless on the show. Negan is very similar with pretty much the same storyline and an absolutely idiotic ending.

Maybe if they know threw in some B actors ala the Batman TV show you'd have something. Mickey Rourke as Negan would be cool.

Yes, but I thought getting bitten causes an infection that will most likely bring upon death. Can the infection spread through splatter contact? That seems to be inconsistent in the show.

IIRC, bites themselves don't result in instaZOMBIE but the high fever and the body shutting down (I.E. death) due to the bite turns one into a walker.
