That's what I figure, which is ridiculous because in real life there's less than 6" of clearance under a dumpster. But obviously this is a special one designed for access to the disabled.

They could have spent more time discussing leaving / not leaving people behind. I like to see at least 25 minutes of that. Zombies are coming down both sides of the street and there are infinite directions to run minus those two ways, so let's hem ourselves up in this alley with a dumpster.

At this point aren't you fanboys getting a little sick of the magic forest zombies?

I assume you are referring to the friendly fire scene. The guy who wrote the goodbye letter to his wife could have been attacked at any moment during the fight. Instead they decided to wait until the fight was over and everyone was addressing the black guy's gunshot wound to the calf. There was a dead silence, 5-6 sets of eyes are looking around, and out of nowhere a zombie appears on his back and bites him in the shoulder.

    It's just such shitty writing.

The other thing that always befuddled me was that Z heads seem to be made out of paper mache and crush with the slightest of pressure, yet their super teeth rip flesh with ease. Ever try and tear a piece of raw beef with your teeth? It ain't easy.

Glen needs to be dead. I love defending this show because I think most of the complaints are nitpicky comic book guy crap, but having Glen survive what happened really would be shit writing. I don't buy these Nicholas fell on top of him conspiracy theories either. It was obvious they were eating Glen. Feh.

The most interesting part of the episode to me was Rick inside the RV. Rick = Shane now.

+1, Javyn. I'm not a fanboy, but I enjoy the show enough to keep watching, even if it's not as good as it once was. Killing Glenn is a throwback to the no-character-is-off-limits feel of the early show, and the way he died is a statement on how unforgiving their environment is. It also illustrates why people like Rick are the real survivors in their world. Apparently killing him, only to come back and say, "psych! He survived in an obscenely implausible (even by the standards of the show) manner!" would be insulting to the viewer, and it would be a big sign that there's nothing interesting left to be done with the story.

I can't say for sure it would be the proverbial straw that would make me turn it off for good, but I can say it would mean the rest of the season would have to be pretty killer for me to keep watching.

TWD insulting to the viewer? Good one!

If you want to kill Glenn, why not have him meet Negan? That was a more powerful scene and one that would shock the viewers and satisfy the comic geeks.

Much of this is wrapped up in how much the audience love a character and whether that actor wants to carry on, but if not Glenn, who meets Negan?

Rick, Carol, Daryl, Carl, Michonne? No. They're in for as long as they want to be.

Maggie? Slight possibility especially if Glenn comes back, but I say no.

Abraham, Eugene or one of their chicks? Maybe, but who cares.

Gabriel? Hell, I'd kill him. But while his death would be satisfying for the audience, they need shock.

    Alexandrians. Really, who cares.

Morgan. Strong possibility. Goes down on his own peacenik terms. Shocking end and will be missed.

The thing about Glenn's "death" is that he never showed up on the "remembering so and so" montage they have at the end of the show.

Steven Yeun also did not come on The Talking Dead.

And finally, this is a spoiler, but:

he was seen filming with a future character of the show

So, all signs point to him surviving the incident.

    Lmao.

Yes, that scene was 100% pure, unadulterated bullshit.

Ninja zombies have their Stealth skill points maxed to over 9000 smh.

I have no idea who this Negan person is, Lefty, so I have no particular interest in his story arc at the moment (nor whatever spoilers might be revealed by talking about him).

I also don't care if Glenn dies. The point is that I find the notion of a cheesy "gotcha" to be a stupid idea and insulting to the viewer.

And, again, you don't have to "bear another season." It's a fucking TV show you can turn off whenever you wish. We get it. You don't like the show. Hooray for you. If you want to drone on and on about all of your tiny gripes, start a "Lefty Shits on The Walking Dead" thread, but stop coming in here and whining about it. It's irritating, and I'm over it. Contribute something to the thread that's more significant than tiresome nitpicking or stay out of it entirely. Those of us who actually want to discuss the show shouldn't have to wade through your temper tantrums just because you don't understand how a remote control works.

Oh I'm fully resigned to the fact that in all likelihood Glenn lives, I just think it's stupid. At least bringing back Jon Snow's dumbass makes sense...

Jeez, lighten up, man. It's a show about zombies.

As to contribution, the last post is a pretty good look at who assumes the Glenn role when Glenn lives. They won't kill Glenn again as that would be too stupid for words. And it is really hard to kill a tortoise.

But clarify ... are you, the mod, kicking me out of the thread or are you, the fan, asking me to leave?

Could see Negan taking out Abraham. Morgan would be my second guess. Anyone else would surprise me.

Shame about Glenn dying, but I think I'd be more pissed if they didn't have the balls to leave him dead. For all the issues, this has never been a show that pulls that sort of crap.

All evidence points to the contrary. The odd angles of the scene; the shots of him in scenes to come; the contract he signed. And he is a fan favourite.

Maybe he was torn to shit and crawled under the dumpster, but lives to have a tearful farewell with Maggie next week. Or is found by Negan.

At this point it might be nice to see the remaining Alexandrians take up guns and kill Rick and his group as he's done nothing but bring absolute ruin upon them.

I haven't seen behavior from Rick that concerns me. Taking the gun off the dead body, which seemed to shock the group, should be common sense. Maybe I misread the scene but it doesn't make sense to use that as a way to characterize Rick's devolving state. The preview of the 6th season clearly showed Rick's direction and how it might be "dangerous," but I'm not seeing that in anything he has done at this point in the season.

He's teetering, if not already into Shane territory, but you can't really fault him for that. Don't see how Rick brought ruin to the Alexandrians. They'd all be dead already if not for him in the last season finale. Watching them attempt to take out Rick's group would be entertaining though.
