The toe box isn't the problem, it's the massive black sole beneath it that looks twice as thick as normal. I actually like the toe box itself, looks more natural than the usual razor-thin pointy dr. seuss toe boxes most high end shoes have.

It's great if you live in Budapest or the region, and are into honoring an historic shoe type/proportion.

However, that's not me.

To my eye it's just more than a bit clunky and it's only appealing for those instances in which a chunky shoe is desirable ie: street wear in the US or daily wear with sports coats etc. etc. in those environments in which the locals have an understanding or appreciation for it. And in that case a derby seems more reasonable.

I doubt I'll ever have occasion to chose it.

Interesting design. Almost too casual for trousers with the boot style toe box, blucher tabs, and thick sole. Might look ok with jeans.

imo, the u last is agreed, definitely for a younger crowd...
