I feel like there has been some overlap in terms of older Neo cuts and newer standard cuts.

I have a neo jacket from 2018 or 2019, and a standard jacket from 2020.

The lapel width is basically the same, and the older neo has a higher gorge, new standard cut has a lower gorge.

I've never really noticed the difference in lapel curve or belly or whatever.

Agreed. I was thinking something similar. Reason I’m selling the above sportcoat is above I just received the Neo hopsack that dropped earlier this summer. Neo fits me slightly better, but lapels are quite substantive on the standard cut.

No they are not Neo cut. You do know the Neo fits practically the same as the standard cut? or is there another feature you like of the Neo that deters you from the standard cut?

If you needed to ask if they were Neo or not, it would seem you are not that familiar with the differences?

Indeed they are, by 1cm according to official specs of a 40R - in my experience, i haven't noticed any difference which is why I said 'fit practically the same'

As someone earlier mentioned - the cut of the standard has got closer to the neo season after season. Factor in manufacturer tolerances and I have been unable to detect any difference in length when wearing.

Anyone got any fall-weight jackets in a 38 contemporary? LMK

Several items for sale:

1. Green stretch cotton 38 contemporary which is used with sleeves shortened 1/2-3/4 inch. pants either in size 33 contemporary or 34 contemporary (I have both) which have had the waists taken in to about 31-32 inches and the seam hemmed to 30 inches. Will sell for $119 shipped with either pants included, $139 for both pants.

2. Tobacco fresco jacket in 38 contemporary. I think I may have shortened the sleeves a 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Looking for $224 shipped. FYI, it looks like there are stains in the photos, but that is just lighting. The jacket has NO stains.

3. Navy/olive check SUIT. Jacket is 38R contemporary. Pants are custom but are similar to a 32 contemporary with the following changes noted. I bought the olive/navy check jacket from a few years ago and had pants made to complete a suit. See photos. Jacket only alteration was sleeves shortened 1/8-1/4 inch. Pants with waist of 31 inches and inseam of 30 in chest with 1-1.25 inches to let out further. Looking for $124 shipped.
