I ask because I inquired for a burgundy one and it seemed very slim despite the size chart on the website for a 38R slim.

I'm a 38" chest and 18" shoulders, and 38 contemporary is a nice loose, drapey fit, so I want to find out if 38 slim would work for me.

The contemporary and slim should be the same shoulder size, only a difference in the chest measurement. I measured roughly 17.75" for shoulders and 20.25" for pit to pit which is very close to the size chart.

FWIW if you need help with measurements but aren't actually interested in purchasing the item you should make that clear up front and I'll still try to help as long as it's not super time consuming (which this wasn't). When you asked for measurements on my jackets I thought you were interested in purchasing, but finding out that you're actually interested in separate burgundy jacket that has nothing to do with me is a bit weird after the fact.

Providing measurements is very helpful for many of us that are in between sizes. Tolerances allow for me to fit in 38 Slim, 38 Contemporary, and 40 Slim, depending. Buying blind without measurements makes for more mistakes than success. Food for thought.

I should clarify, I was definitely interested in purchasing this jacket. I brought up the burgundy jacket on sale here because it was the same slub fabric from the same run, and it ran small vs. the actual measurements on the website.

Thus my curiosity regarding the green slub's measurements. Does that make sense?
