Personally it wasn’t the right size for me. It’s a gorgeous jacket but it’s also pretty redundant to someone that mainly rotates brown jackets. If I can find it in 42r I’ll buy it againI'm surprised that several of you guys are selling that Fox Bros. jacket unused. Arguably the best looking jacket they've ever done, I think. Sadly not in my size (38 contemp). I'm curious to hear your thoughts on why you never chose to wear it. Too heavy?
It's a lovely jacket. Perfect winter weight as well and has all the right characteristics for the season. But as @MrFingers said, it's about redundancy. I have several brown FW jackets that are already used. So I might just as well sell this one which is unused. If it was one of my first brown FW jackets, I'd probably keep it. But sadly it's one of the last acquired brown FW jackets for me. I sold the Marling Evans brown hopsack jacket for the same reason.I'm surprised that several of you guys are selling that Fox Bros. jacket unused. You're correct that I prefer cooler colours. Which actually is the reason I got it in the first place. But, as you also stated, versatility is not a priority in my wardrobe. And it happens to be the case that brown FW SCs makes up the largest share of my total SC wardrobe. It's surely a winner and whoever buys it will really enjoy it.That's understandable. I think it stands out from most of the brown jackets they've released by being a significantly cooler - almost grayish - shade. Seems like it would be quite easy to pair. Especially for someone like you @DonRaphael, who tends to prefer cooler colors if I'm not mistaken? Although you're probably not very concerned with versatility anymore given the extent of your wardrobe. It would probably be my #1 choice for a patterned brown sportcoat (at least on the lighter end of brown). While I generally dislike contrast overchecks, I really like it on this one. The green is nice and subtle and adds just the right amount of pop.
In other words, I quite regret not picking it up myself

I'd think you could pretty easily size up to a 40 slim. Not that it would look better than your 38R (which does suit you well), but maybe a worthwhile consideration if you're particularly enamored with the coat.I guess I'm gonna have to hit the gym and bulk up. Brb.

@DonRaphael we can negotiate my service fee if Imp pulls the trigger
38s as in 38 short? (Not 38's). Would you say leaning towards contemporary fit or slim? Nice fabrics.$725 for three new, full canvas jackets.
I bought these custom only a few months ago. I spent a little over $3000 CDN on these and I only tried them on once, for a few minutes. They still have the tack stitching (except one jacket). These are all fully canvased. They will fit 38s. Nothing wrong with them, I just feel tweed doesnt work for me, the brown one isn't my style and the sand one doesnt suit my complexion. I am at $1000 CDN firm (not including shipping) for all three which I feel is an amazing value for three jackets. i'd prefer not to sell them individually. any questions please let me know
The fabrics are:
Guabello - medium heathered brown
marlings evans - brown check
marlings evans - sand hopsack View attachment 1844495 View attachment 1844496 View attachment 1844497 View attachment 1844496 View attachment 1844497
