I've got a bumfreezer in XL Navy hopsack that I might be willing to part with. They do fit a bit slim, I'm usually an L...
That Navy hopsack BF is the holy grail!! I bought one in gray a couple of years ago from NR when they had a few left in stock (and I still halfheartedly keep an eye out for the navy hopsack version).

For reference, I'm also a standard large and wear an XL in the Bumfreezer.

If anyone needs some incentive.

It is such a great piece-- but since I grabbed a Monitaly parka off this thread that's become my all purpose winter coat. Too much great outerwear here!

Well said! If yours sits for a while, it will likely find a home in [one of my] already overstuffed closets.

When my son went to college a few years ago, I commandeered his empty closet for my outwear. It took my wife a couple of years to discover that move!

Hahaha if I had a whole closet for outerwear I'd have to stop following this thread -- I have no impulse control. But if you decide you want to add the navy hopsack to your collection, drop me a DM!

I too would normally be considered a Large for the Bumfreezer, but managed to get an XL on a great deal from Luxeswap. It is a little roomy, but is perfect for having layers in the winter. I've concluded that I prefer the slightly oversized fit to accommodate layers comfortably.

Id say someone who's considering a Large could definitely consider an XL.

Agreed. I sized up to the XL and don’t regret it. It’s also my single most worn piece of outerwear and probably my best ever No Man purchase.

I commandeered the guest bedroom closet. My wife discovered it pretty quickly, though.

If anyone can write up a guide for the bumfreezer hood id be forever grateful lol

I’ll add im usually a large, 6 ft 190 lbs ~42” chest and the xl was the right move.
Ask and ye shall receive...I reached out to NR re this.

Their response:
"This strap on the back of the collar is for folding up the hood. Please see the attached pictures. It will look like "Hood C" picture when the hood is folded. Hood C1 and C2 pictures explain how to fold it."
