LEJ overshirt in a beautiful check
Unclear why I’m getting rid of this but it never connected with me.

Beautiful build quality, the buttons alone are the best on any RTW shirt I’ve seen
Size M
LNWOT

$200 shipped conus

23.5” chest
30” length
24” sleeves (this seems short but it fits me fine w/normalish arms)

Following up on the recent Valstar/Valstarino discussion...

Has anyone had to take a *bigger* size in the Clint than the Valstarino? I ordered this jacket during the archive sale. It's labeled as the "Cowboy" jacket here, but as far as I can tell it's identical to the Clint, all the way down to the corduroy lining.

I'm normally a medium in everything, but I follow the size up 1 advice and take a 50 in the Valstarino. I expected a size 50 Cowboy/Clint to be a little loose on me if anything, but was shocked to find that it was even slimmer-fitting than the Valstarino. Whereas a 50 Valstarino is by no means too small on me, the size 50 Clint didn't pass any sort of shoulder test, and was visibly too slim when zipped up. FWIW I'm 6'1, 165ish, with maybe a 39 inch chest.

Anyone have similar experiences? Was this a one-off thing? Also...maybe WTB size 52 Clint?

I did not take a bigger size in the Clint than the valstarino. To me the valstarino was maybe slimmer than the Clint.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

I just compared the "Cowboy" and Valstarino size charts for a size 50. While they measure the same in the chest, the Cowboy is smaller in the shoulders and shorter in the body.

Perhaps my mistake was assuming that "Cowboy" and Clint were the same thing. IIRC the Clint was possibly an NMWA collab or exclusive? Despite the similar appearances I guess they could have different specs.

I should also be extra clear and state that I'm talking about the Cowboy on the Valstar website, NOT the Cowboy that is currently on NMWA.

Yea I think the Clint was an exclusive that Valstar eventually made into mass production.
Also yes that they decided to call it the cowboy which is not the same as the NMWA cowboy (which I also have)

Valstar leathers in general tend to run slim and long imo

For most of the leather jackets if they took an inch or two off the back length, and added it to chest, it'd be ideal for me.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
