Hi there -- how did you size the knitted polo? I ended up sizing down for a fitted look and am starting to think that the spirit of these knitted polos is a more baggy, 50's style silhouette (e.g, longer, baggier sleeves past mid bicep, more blously than fitted...)
I sized up in comparison to the shetland. But I am broad in the shoulders, that's why the Polo was kinda tight in the chest which I did not like

this OCBD was from archive sale Jan 2022 (probably the last time I felt the archive sale prices for OCBDs was good value). Initially the blue background colour just seemed a bit too saturated but figured it would mellow through washes and hanging in the sun. And it has

You can get brand new kamakura shirts at All Blues in Leeds for between £100-120. Now, I know that some of the Drake’s designs can be a little unusual, but why you’d be £200 for a plain blue OCBD is beyond me

Not all OCBDs are identical. First off some just fit better than others, which to me is worth $100 all by itself. Then there are details like collar roll and fabric weight that can result in one brand being preferred over another.

Lots of reasons to make this choice beyond saying “they’re all the same”. By that logic, spend $50 on something from LL Bean or j crew.

Drakes adjacent but I picked up this vintage Holland & Holland gilet which has a quilted wool outer and then lined in this printed silk (not visible when buttoned up).

Maybe I’m longing for some of the older Drakes aesthetic, but I am alone in thinking it would be cool to see them do something similar lined with their scarf silks?

Disappointed to say the least to receive my archive order today - would have been gutted to get these as seconds, let alone full price.

Bald patches, deep gouges in the skin. Awaiting feedback from Drakes

I had ordered a few shirts from the Archive sale. One of them had a tear near the cuff. I emailed Drake's and they promptly replied with an apology and a prepaid return label. The amount was refunded today. Long story short, they'll accommodate returns for damaged/faulty goods.

Which brings me to next point…I ******* hate these Archive sales. I wish I could turn back the time to before COVID where Drake's had regular seasonal sales like every other brand does. These Archive sales lead to a chaotic scramble with orders being delayed, QA down the ******* which zero attention paid to the product being shipped out, etc. I'd rather pay 20-40% off than 50-60% off for items that should have never left the factory in the first place.

I’m sure they’ll make it right/refund, just annoying. The colour is super versatile and I was looking forward to wearing the hell out of them

Kamakura is far better than LL Bean & J. Crew
