@DinoK i don’t see anything that needs to be altered right now. If you sized up perhaps the sleeves would need to be shortened. I’d wear it around a bit more if you sized up to consider taking in the body too. I say that as the shape looks good now, sizing up may provide more drape and you can see whether you like that shape or not.

maybe if you don't like the length, or the material or the embroidery smack bang in the centre of it, then send it back. you won't wear it
I think you're right. It's just not what I really want/need. It was 50% off at Mr Porter and is a size 40. I'll return it unless anyone here wants it.

Hey guys, how are the games suits for short folks? Hearing they are not great for us vertically challenged individuals. I'm about 5 foot 6 inches. Should I be looking elsewhere for a casual suit?

maaaaaybe a little long. What is your chest size?

I have a grey herringbone tweed mk7 blazer in size 38, and it’s probably perfect at my height of 5’7.5”; I do have a long torso, though, which might help. Might be a shade long but I prefer that to too short. They’re def made to be for people slightly taller than me but I still think they work

I think slightly long imo. I just picked up a 36 and 38 navy tweed mkvii and they are 29 and 29 1/8” in the back length, measured from bottom of collar to hem. Still deciding which fits better and if I should keep any of them

I had my eye on the navy tweed one too as a future purchase. Thoughts on the material? It's one of those jackets that is kind of hard to make out good detail on because their product pics are against the stark white background.

This photo was taken during our neighborhood holiday party. It was my first day wearing the Drake’s chore coat.

Beautiful fabric, has a nice weight to it and natural stretch. Just not sure about the fit yet

I've never worn the Ventile City Raincoat from two years ago. It's very long and ample, so a "strong" piece. But above all, there are no more rainy days such as one would need to wear that type of coat.

Just went to the market with it! After being used to the raglan coat, it doesn't seem that big, I could probably have size up.

Hey everyone, hope everyone is having a better weekend than I am. I’m having a really frustrating issue with Drakes and DHL shipping. I bought the Brown Suede Car Coat with Blanket lining online on Monday, and on Thursday night I was contacted by DHL that it is being held at the LA port for a clearance event with CBP. They are telling me that since the purchase is valued over 2500$ USD, it must go through “formal entry” and they are requesting additional information from me. They want to know what the name and address for the manufacturer of the coat in Italy, which is not shown on Drake’s website. I contacted Drake’s customer support yesterday but they are out of office until Monday, and this morning I called the Drake’s storefront in NYC without any luck. Does anyone have the manufacturer name and address in Italy for this coat? Or have dealt with this issue before? I really would like to get this issue resolved asap, as I will be leaving for the holidays this coming Wednesday and wont be back until the new year. Thanks, as always, friends.

Does anyone have experience of the 15.5oz heavy weight jeans, specifically in regard to washing and shrinkage? They looked phenomenal in store and was told they are pre-washed/rinsed, but the fabric seemed pretty ‘raw’ and couldn’t help thinking they could easily shrink in waist and length. I’ve been caught out before. So resisted the purchase for now.

I have some, and haven't had any shrinkage issues - have washed 2 or 3 times.

Only thing I would say is the denim possibly isn't as "robust" as 15.5oz would suggest - I've had them about ~6mths and already have a small hole at the hem that I'll need to get fixed up.

As others have said, the fit & cut is spot on, so as long as you can justify the £££ based on that (and not the denim quality) it's worth it!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
