Hey guys, been looking all over for this yellow liner vest by Rocky Mountain Featherbed. Wanted to see if there’s anyone here that has a Medium or Large and is willing to sell? Lmk!

NGL, that looks amazing. It's crazy how expensive Drakes coats are in the US, though. It's not obvious to me they're substantially better than the PWVC x PS, DBF Grandad coat, or even their doppelgänger: KS traveler. All of those are between $1100 and $1400. Really hard to swallow 2K.
All of those are probably great options as well. My advice for anyone considering Drake’s version is to size up one or even two sizes. My arms are quite short and I have narrow shoulders too… I could have sized up two sizes. Sleeves are fine but shoulders feel a bit thight. I couldn’t fit a blazer underneath. My coat is 40, shetlands and t-shirts 38, chores 38-40, oxfords 15.5 and most other brands M

Visited the new Drakes Seoul store for the first time. It definitely has a nice vibe to it.

This is the reason I don’t buy drakes if I can’t try it etc. Their sizing chart is not accurate and all over the place. But good stuff indeed ended up going with PV X PS. Your coat looks good and brown one they came out with looks killer also.

That surprises me. According to the size chart the coats are very roomy at their tagged size; I would not have expected to have to go up a size. It sounds like we are similarly sized and based on their charts I would have likely chosen to go with a 38. Thanks!

I was just about to post that $1200 for a coat like this is surprisingly affordable ... and then realized I was seeing the price converted to USD on their UK site.

Yeah yikes

Yeah, several times now I've mistakenly gone to drakes.com (not us.drakes.com) and it displayed the direct converted GBP to USD prices which led me to believe I was shopping the US site. The prices were considerably lower...don't recall the exact numbers, but chore coats were like $488 USD, jeans were $240 USD. I legit thought they had lowered their prices. But as was mentioned, there's no options to check out in the US from here.

Once you go to us.drakes.com you see the actual US pricing, hefty markups included.

Yes, $1200 would be a steal.

I bought the black/white herringbone coat based on this rec in the fall of 2020.... it was $1900 then.

I don't want to argue about Drake's pricing, and do understand that when we see the UK to USD conversation on the UK site, then compare to the US prices it can be a bit of a shock.

But reiterating, the topcoat price hasn't really changed that much in over two years since they introduced this shape.

That color way was probably the best version they have made so far if you're looking for a classic, versatile coat in their silhouette. Though I do like many of their color choices each year. I even like the plain navy one this season, as I am in the market for a plain navy coat. If I were in the UK I would probably seriously consider picking one up with the exchange the way it is, but buying from the US website is a no-go from me. I do love Drake's offerings, it just means I can only buy them very rarely.

The rust suede unlined version bleeds onto pale fabrics. Really annoying, especially for things that get washed less frequently like wool sweaters.

Anyone found a solution? Was thinking rubbing the interior down with a stiff suede brush could help?

I found the same with the ones I returned. Parts of the white garment bag Mr. Porter uses for shipping were stained, in fact. Simon Crompton made reference to this last year and brought it to Drake's attention: https://www.permanentstyle.com/2021/04/spring-summer-top-10-chores-shirts-and-sweats.html

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Canal penny loafer. Anyone have any experience with the style? Intrigued by its chunky shape, which reminds me of a less bulbous Paraboot.

I have a pair in tobacco and another in black. They both fit very differently and I highly recommend fitting them in store before buying. Last is very comfortable, but I might need to get a tongue pad for the tobacco pair. Black pair fits a lot tighter. Anyways… the tobacco pair has seen the most wear out of all my shoes during summer and fall months. Very versatile shoe 👍. I also have Paraboot Reims and those are bulletproof shoes that are comfortable as well but Canal loafers are just so so easy to use…

Interesting.

Anyone got any other recommendations to reduce the bleeding? Perhaps a light microfibre cloth or sponge...
I noticed the inside of my suede chore had blue indigo from my jeans, bled the other way. Any way to clean the suede?

I use this for suede shoes and I guess I would use it for suede jackets as well.
