Canal Street Moving Sale Report: No 16 1/2 shirts at all (but they do have XL and XXL). No ties at all. Some suiting and coats 50-70% off. Shirts are $95, 3 for $245. Knitwear still pricy. Tees $55, scarves $45. Really does seem like they're trying to lighten the load of what they have to move down the street to the new space. Not as good as one of their Sample Sales, but I did get this shirt for $95 instead of the $145 of the archive sale: https://www.drakesarchive.com/usa/c...n-lyocell-two-pocket-work-shirt/category/167/
Was it suit separates or drop 6 type thing?

New additions to the archivesale - mostly shirts as far as I can see.

What did you buy? This seemed like the most boring archive sale yet to me.
Brown Corduroy Chore Jacket, Blue Check Two Pocket Work Shirt (sucker for their workshirts... I know, not really CM but work great for me and get the most wear), Cobalt Blue Corduroy Shorts, Wine and blue block pocket square...

the shorts and the chore jacket were "on my list" of things to get

Where are all the ties going to go? :puzzled:

Canal Street typically only has the smallest selection of ties, maybe a dozen, on display...so maybe they only had a shoebox's worth to move? But with their also being no ties in the Archive sale, it's a bad time to be a Drake's neckwear enthusiast.

Just buy the mystery box. You’re bound to get a couple good ties.

I am sure there are loads on the secondary market.

There were definitely a few 16.5 shirts (and some Ls) today -- I bought one! Along with a cord games jacket (sadly there were no matching trousers)

What a beautiful shirt! I wish I had seen it. I'll amend my statement on shirts to: "When the sale opened at 11am, there was not a box of size 16.5 shirts, but perhaps they could be found here and there elsewhere."

I'm looking at the cord shorts online... can anyone confirm that the size charts are accurate? i.e. the actual waist is around an inch smaller than the tagged waist?

No lol, I called the Canal St store a few weeks ago and had them measure the waist of some pants. Completely different than what is listed online.

Snagged the Brown Cord Selvedge Chore Coat. It was hard to resist and I love my dark wash denim chore coat I bought last year. Also got the green striped oxford. Those RM Williams are hilariously priced. Marked up to $605 just to get marked down to $425. They retail for $495 at RM Williams and bunch of other stockists.
