Would you say the medium fits you like the model pic?

As a true 35" waist I normally take a 36" pant these days, but 36" seems to be in the middle of the L/ XL...
Yes, but a tad roomier. I’m 5’7, 31 waist. I would definitely fit a size Small, but it would be slimmer.

Recently picked up the Ultra light down jacket on sale. I'm a fan, however, there were three different versions of this thing.

Will go good with my casual fall and spring outfits

What did you all buy from the new U collection? really interested in the denim overshirt and the flannel suit.

it seems there is much less interest this time around. Launch has been delayed in Canada because of current supply chain issues.

In EU most of the trousers are provided only in smaller sizes going up either size L or size 33. Perhaps because of the supply chain issue mentioned.

I would get the wide work pants if they’d have them size 35 or so.

the colors are horrible to wear where I live - northern EU. I would get couple things were they in better colors.

Picked up some things from the latest U drop. Wasn't planning on getting any of the outerwear, but the product shots of the women in the flannel work jacket intrigued me. Ended up sizing up to try and replicate that look and I'm pretty happy with the shape of it. Couple of things: 1.) This is closer, in my opinion, to an unstructured blazer than what people traditionally associate with "workwear" and 2.) it does not feel like what I think of as flannel at all. Much closer to a thick, stiff cotton gabardine –– maybe I'm just uneducated when it comes to fabrics.

I'm assuming the piece will soften a bit with time; I can't imagine pants made of this material would be very comfortable. But I've been on the hunt for a Yohji-esque oversized black jacket for some time now, and at the price point, this mostly gets the job done.

Also nabbed the full-zip sweater in matching black. There was already some loose threads when I unpacked it, but it's a neat layering piece with a nice cut and the attached fingerless gloves are an interesting touch.

How warm are the ultra light down jackets? Are they surprisingly warm and can cover 30 degree weather as an outer layer? Or are they more like early fall jackets and aren't too warm/made for layering.

The U recycled down jacket looks good but I hate ribbed sleeves (and cuffs and hem) on that style jacket. Might get the upcoming White Mountaineering collab one.

As far as down goes, I don’t find the Uniqlo versions (mainline) super warm. They are sparsely filled so they don’t really compare to something from a true outdoor brand. They would probably be ok over a hoody at 30 degrees, I use my vest as a mid layer under a coat, but we live in fairly different climates I believe.

The WM version looks decent from the pics I’ve seen!

I don't have the jackets, but do have a vest from 2018ish, but I agree I wouldn't trust those down jackets to under 50ish degrees with a t-shirt. Even with my Patagonia one I would not go under 40ish degrees with a t-shirt unless I was planning on being active in it.

Anyone have U Recycled Down Jacket? I’m contemplating getting the petrol blue (or the dark gray) and sizing down. Any advice?
