That women's JW turtleneck must have sold out very quickly here in the UK. I checked just before 9am and they were all gone. Quite fancied one of the scarves (even though i never wear one) but alas they're gone too.

Not planning to get anything from the men's collection. The lambswool mock neck and low gauge knits both look decent... but i've never been a fan of stripes and also not sure about that exaggerated ribbing / seam.

Anyone know if the JWA fishtail parka is warm enough to be used as a winter jacket? Wondering how substantial that padding is or if it's more of a glorified raincoat.

Here

Not seen or handled it but the pictures don't look very substantial so i'd say no. For me, 'padding' isn't enough for a winter jacket. But it will depend on where you live. It might be versatile enough to layer with i guess (a down liner underneath etc).

You'd have to layer it over a down insulate or something. It says it's padded for warmth but coats uniqlo make like this are usually never actually warm enough for a full winter on its own.

Looking at the photos, I wouldn't think it's warm enough - you'd need a down liner underneath for added warmth. I think it's their general theme (or trend) this season I see is thinner outerwear for easy layering. On the good side, at least you can keep using it in Spring and Autumn.

Went through the JWA collection just now and got the striped Premium Lambswool sweater (hello, Ernie and Bert vibes) and socks (of course!)

Tried on the coats and outers and generally alright.

Duffle coat quality isn’t fantastic but not that bad. I like the button/clasp detail, although I think they could’ve just used real leather on the knots as it feels a bit delicate. I like the glen check pattern.

Mods coat is indeed light and thin en when padded, so don’t expect warmth haha. The Double Face coats for Men and Women got a nice silhouette and drape, but it can feel like felt (lighter and thinner than the U Overcoat).

As for knits, generally alright, but I only tried the Lambswool stripes (for me the most JWA piece) and the Fisherman knit (might consider on sale).

Shirting is thin flannel, fits relaxed TTS. Might get back for this later...

Pants I haven’t tried but touching it, Wool pants are just ok, quite thin. souffle yarn pants feel quite comfy. Womens relaxed drawstring pants are interesting as well.

If you like anything from the season, then it’s quite good to get what you want already. But I think a lot can wait on sale.

The fishtail looks like it has a cool shape!

@cafedandy what were your thoughts on it? Did it feel like main line uniqlo fabric or something a notch above?

Thanks for pics/info !

It has been like 2 months since they announced +J and nothing yet except one article. Guess they are trying to create more hype than with other collections

The inseam listed on the site for the Uniqlo U corduroy pants is VERY short, at 29.5 inches. I'm 6'1 / 186cm so it looks like its not going to work out for me, which is a shame.

Does anyone have a pair and can speak to whether that is an accurate measurement or not?

I have never found a reason to doubt their size charts/measurements

I tried the U boyfriend jeans, it might just have a bit higher rise but still ok for men. Usually a 31 in mens, the womens 28 fit me alright.

I think these are the same pants I missed out on last year, a little bit technical with the Heattech lining for fall and winter. Anyone know how is the sizing in person?

I have these from last year in size S, and I would say it's the right size for me. They're not slim, but they're not overly baggy either. They fit somewhat long but have drawstrings at the hem, so they're a little bunched up at the bottom so kind of resembles ski pants.

For reference, I usually wear a waist 32 or 33 inches in Uniqlo chinos (US sizing), and most other Uniqlo pants I get size M but saw that this was oversized so sized down. I'm about 5'8" and between 165-170 lbs.

What do y'all think of the heattech base layers? I have the cheaper pant and love it and am thinking of picking up the midweight version, but if anyone has any other recommendations from other brands I'd love to hear about them.

@NonChalant321 Thank you, that is helpful. I was weighing between medium or large since the model wears the latter. But seems like medium should have enough stretch in the waist (I feel comfortable at 34" waist).

@grayfox I've liked all the Heattech base layers so far, especially the "ultra" versions since I run cold in the fall. I sized up on the Heattech turtleneck and like them very much.

I would just be careful with washing since the Heattech is prone to pilling and catching a lot of lint. Wash cold and hang dry is fine, avoid mistakenly throwing your laundry together with towels as Heattech will become a lint catcher. I had to dispose of one of the tops because of that.
