I don't know what it is, but they don't compare to my Gitman. Even though I betcha the cost to make a Gitman vs cost to make a Uniqlo shirt is probably a difference of $15-25.

True. The Gitman Vintage overdyed oxfords are $165. I had a few. But we're talking about $165 vs. $19. The differences are subjective, you have a large collar on the gitman, but also a box pleat that causes the back to poof out.

Difference in pure weight, the gitman wins, but as for construction and buttons? no difference imo.

Alright well I just ordered a Large, XL and XL slim. I've never found a good fitting oxford before and this is cheaper than everlane which is what I was going to try next.

The ones with the grosgrain stripe are spring/summer, the other ones are previous seasons

I love my Uniqlo oxfords. I still have my ones from a year or two ago when they first released them with that grosgrain stripe. Fit perfectly, and have a decent weight to them IMO. GBV are definitely beefier, but for the price they are pretty fantastic

Any pics of the +J spring collection? It's supposed to have launched in JP already right?

Anyone a little underwhelmed with this season's (Spring/Summer) OCBDs? They are a bit on the thin side for me, and fit a little wider than the ones I got a couple years ago.

Also has anyone tried on that light wash Miracle Air pair? Stock photo looks nice, muted, low contrast, but in the model photos they're a very contrasty sky blue.

Tried on the new oxfords in-store today...I swear the fit has changed. The slim in L from a couple years ago used to fit me perfectly and now the collar's too loose and the waist is boxy. Sizing down on a medium got everything right except the chest. No dice. So it ends.

Apart from the obvious, what's the difference between the mesh and nonmesh AIRism? In the pictures it looks like its a cotton blend whereas the mesh looks synthetic. But does this have any effect on the "moisture wicking"?

Exactly the same, medium too big now, small is too small.

Are the asian market uniqlo garments just upsized (labeled larger) or are they completely different fits?

I picked up some oxfords in Thailand about 1.5 years ago and had to size up to an XL to fit chest, shoulders, arms but had to get the body and length tailored. I wear in L top in everything else.

For an athletic build I can't seem to find a better fit than the club monaco slim fit oxfords.
