Update: fit is decent but I don't wear them enough. The bottoms are so wide that they feel like they're bell bottoms. Don't look good with regular dress shoes but they look cool with Wallabees, chukka boots and Frye harnesses boots plus they fit over my armoured motorcycle boots. I guess I am going to keep them

UB 101 33. Have stretched out more than I would like. May have to do a hot wash in the future.
Thoughts on the fit? Should I have sized down?

Depends on how close you like your fit. If you like a snug fit, you're going to want to size down. My 101s stretched quite a bit in the waistband even though they weren't super tight to begin with. I figured there would be minimal stretching if there wasn't a lot of stress there, but I was wrong.

Anything you did to shrink the waist? The waist on mine stretched quite a bit as well, though the rest of the fit is good.

Nope, not yet. I actually haven't washed them yet, I might try a hot soak when I do.

Guys, my nephew in NYC is asking about these as his first foray into selvedge

    http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/the-unb...m_sp=personalizedsort-_-searchresults-_-1_1_A

Are these the 101 or 201 or 321? None of the above? I can't really tell by the ad. I only read through the last few pages here but didn't see a reference to this model name (hope I didn't just miss it).

Nordstroms $CAD price conversion shows these at $100. He mentioned they're on sale right now. Does $85 USD look like a sale price?

Those are 201s. Just look at the Unbranded site under the "Tapered fit" menu.

Regular price for those is $82. Haven't ever seen them on sale at Nordstrom.

Thanks for the info, I'll check the Unbranded site. Yeah, I think I misunderstood him because he confirmed that it's not a sale price.

Actually, are you sure? The ones I linked to at Nordstroms say 'extra-fitted through the seat and thigh' but the ones you linked to say 'extra roomy in the seat and thigh'. Is that supposed to mean the same thing? I can see that they're named the same. Strange...

I just picked those up from nordstroms, and they are definitely the 'tapered fit' 201s, very similar to Naked & Famous "Weird Guy". These unbranded are a great value for raw denim imo.

I am considering the same, my only concern that the waist will stretch back again!

I have read a lot of people on different forums saying that their unbrandeds have various QC issues, but i have both the 201 and 221 and have had the 201 for almost 3 years and the 221 for a year. Both have absolutely no problems. I have been doing construction in the 221 since march so theres an inevitable crotch blow out coming on but theyre both perfectly holding together. The 221 have stretched an insane amount but are so damn comfortable. Anybody looking at these but not totally sure, go for it. Ill throw a picture i took in them today up with this post, although the focal point of the photo was my dog and boots, but the jeans still look good i think. [IMG]

Edit: those are the 221 in the picture.

Finally got around to returning those UB301s. The bottoms were so wide they looked bad with any shoes, odd with any sneaker and weird with everything but my 2 least favourite boots. Every time I put them on I'd walk around the house and then change into another pair of jeans. Damn things still looked (and smelled) brand new. Ordered a pair of UB201s which should arrive sometime next week. Now I have to break then in again. Pray for my balls

UB201s came in 2 days days ago. The bottoms of my pants no longer make 'whoosh whoosh' sounds when I walk. My balls are happy now that they have room to breathe.

So I think I'll buy a pair and I'm going to buy 1 inch down, is that wise?

Mine have stretched at least an inch in the waist. I'd recommend sizing down until the thighs/legs fit well unless you are particularly apple or pear shaped. I sized down one and it has worked out pretty well.

The measurements at blueowl seem pretty accurate to me on new pants; https://www.blueowl.us/product/unbranded-tapered-leg-145oz-selvedge-in-indigo-model-ub201/
