1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

haha nice catch. i figured if it's a mega baller suit, it'll be worth the $50 or so to get the pleats removed.

If you're wearing your suit jacket you can't even see the pleats. Pleats aren't always bad anyway.

Several items I was watching on eBay ended without any bids yesterday. Is it looked down upon to PM the seller a lower price at which I'd like to purchase the item? I get a cheaper price and seller doesn't pay the fees. If acceptable, what percent does eBay typically take from the sale price?

Also, looking for two leather dress belts: brown and walnut (size 34). Maybe a reversible? :embar:

Looking to pick up a white shirt for a wedding coming up in 2 weeks.
    Size 17 1/2 - 34
Single link or French link cuffs.
    Spread Collar
Doesn't need to be anything special.

Never hurts to ask. Paypal/eBay fees are generally around 12-14% total

Any one up for a high end series of trades?
Ive lost a ton a weight and pretty much need to get rid of everything and replace.

Any one gain a bunch and move from say a 40R-small 42R up to a full 42 or 44?

    PM me if interested.

I have SC's, suits, shirts, and pants.

16.5 shirts, 36 waist pants, and mainly 44R-42R sc and suits.

So my thrift pile is getting a bit out of hand and I realize that I'm really not ever gonna sell anything on the bay, so I'd like to clear this stuff out and re-stock the thrifting coffers. Prices are essentially my cost plus anticipated shipping in flat rate priority plus a buck or two to cover gas. If you want multiple items, happy to adjust for shipping

    Pants: $18/pr
2x Luciano Barbera. Double pleated 36x34.

SBD Button Fly Jeans 36x30ish and NWT Longchamp cotton made in Italy size EU50 (US34)

SC: $18 ea (for whatever reason, pants and SCs are priced about the same around here)
Vestimenta 3 btn, 1/4 lined 46L and John Varvatos mainline EU56 (possibly orphan but no drop indicated on tag)

BB Country Club dark navy 44R/Jack Victor 46L
    [IMG]

Armani Black Label unvented 44R taken/Harris Tweed for the Crimson Shop in Cambridge about a 40
    [IMG]

Shirts: $12ea except the Lorenzini, which I paid $20 for from another member, but it doesn't quite fit and I'll sell for $20

    Robert Graham L taken/Brooksflannel 55% wool/45% cotton 16.5
    [IMG]

    Barbour XL and Lorenzini 17
    [IMG]

Shoes: Ferrgamo and Park Ave $30 ea/Danbury $20
AE Park Ave in Brown 9E, excellent condition/Ferrgamo Tramezza Wholecuts in 11.5 EE missing plates on soles, but else very good shape/AE Danbury 11E, have been recrafted but good shape.

    Womens: $20 ea

Jil Sander black blazer tagged 38 and Bernhard Zins Made in France Alpaca/Wool jacket size 12

Let me know if you want further details or measurements.

    Thanks,

Be careful having that kind of alteration done to a baller suit. Like everyone has said, pleats aren't all that bad - in fact, if the pants are cut to wear anywhere near the waist, they actually help it fit properly. Even so, once you have that work done, to a certain extent you no longer have Isaia pants, you have Local-Alterations-Tailor pants, so be very sure the guy is someone you'd trust to make pants for you from a pattern that he either drew himself or adjusted extensively to fit you.

Good luck with the search though!

Is anyone here a UK 9.5 G in Church's? I'd love to trade (or sell) the shoes in my sig to someone for something I can get use out of. I spent more on these than I should have, but to a regular of this or the thrifting thread, I'd be willing to make a sweet deal. Note that I said to a regular. I'm also willing to just let them sit in my closet until a regular does want them one day.

Those would work for me. I have a similar pair of Loake in more of a snuff suede (a bit lighter and redder) size 10 UK... They're a bit big and wide on me. Loakes are no Church's though.
