Does anyone own both the F and P2 lasts? I've tried both lasts but never actually owned a shoe on the P2.

I'm just now dipping my toes into the derby waters and am considering this exact make up but in dark brown scotch grain https://nomanwalksalone.com/products/cognac-scotch-grain-alt-wien-derby-999

I'd like it to be built on a less sleek last than the F. I'm liking what I'm seeing in the pics, which is a P2 lasted shoe. But I'd feel much more comfortable with a couple of side by side pics of both lasts. Preferably from above, front and in profile. Thanks.

Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks! This confirms that P2 is the right last for the specific shoe i have in mind.
IMHO, it's rather neat in reality. For my next derby I'm going for the 3636 last for a more substantial look.

Thanks for your input. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to go with a derby AND last 3636 combined for the first time. After all, I'm not @bernoulli I'm too conservative ?

What? No space patinated shoes for you? Egads! But seriously, the foundation of my wardrobe comes from Vass, in conservative styles and colors. I am looking forward to the results of your commission.

I’m looking to get a casual pair of plain toe derby’s and I’m really liking the London 5-eyelet in the BP last. How is sizing on these? I’m a 10D on Brannock, slightly wider in the right foot.

It depends on the upper leather. I have a grained leather on vibram, but most about everything else looks better on double leather. In turn, most of that depends on what you want to use them for and wear them with - I wouldn’t wear the vibram pair with anything approaching formal clothing, they are for bad weather and muddy walks.
