These look great.

I have to say though, given how lovely the walnut museum is I always feel a bit sad when people order a different color.

Also curious to know if Vass uses celastic for toes and heels. I would assume the heels are leather but I'm not actually sure.
I would need to ask such info. Even EG uses celastic for the toes, I don't see the obsession some people have with that part. I know Scafora uses leather. For the heels I am not sure.

This was a very high quality shoe so far and feels "significant" but not heavy and well built everywhere. I got it for a preferential price for my review but similar to what you would pay during their sales at the moment. I never cared about museum calf. This one is supposed to be dark brown museum but honestly it is just dark brown and I prefer it that way. It has some slight hints of lighter brown but that's it. It's probably easier to see and spot it in colors like walnut or gold.

Great shoes, absolutely smashing bang for buck if you want handmade shoes. Especially on sale. if anyone is interested I will post my video review when I finish it.

Leather at least in the pairs of Vass I’ve had long enough to soften up in the heel cup.

The rotating Vass sales have made it hard to justify buying from other brands. With shipping and toe taps they end up being $320 to $360 euros.

In terms of celastic, I don't care all that much tbh. It probably makes sense to use leather in the heel, but I'm not sure the value of using it in the toe.

I agree if you like the style and the fit it's unbeatable during sales. They have a lot of styles and models I find extremely unattractive (not a fan of budapesters or the norveger above etc) but it's a no brainer at 50% off. Overall the experience was great and it's even better now that Rezso is back.

I finished my video (it will be unlisted/not public and doesn't have any paid links or anything) so let me know if you want to see it.

Very good shoes. I will take them out for a spin tomorrow or so and take some worn pics. I love austerity brogues they are so versatile.

How do you get in contact with the sales team? By mail? Tried to call them but didn't get ahold of anyone unfortunately.

I speak with Rezso directly via Whatsapp. I think the best way would be to email them now. They are a bit slow.

Already did a few days back, but got no reply. That's why I asked here

I guess I am not the only one trying to get special treatment during the sales. Let's see what happens.

I really like your videos. I have watch them all!
Did you have any heel issue?

Thanks! No for the duration I tried them not at all. I will update more when I wear them tomorrow for a longer time.

My first Vass. Austerity in Brown Museum on the U Last.

View attachment 1603782
Have you had any gapping prob with the U last ? your video is not clear on that.

I had to switch to K & P last to get minimal gapping, the U & 3636 were like wearing a canoe !

I am not sure how a model made for the U last will look on a different last.

Anyone has an austerity in K or P last ?
