Quick box opening, f last, gold museum. Took the advice of getting the toe plate, at 16 euro is the best price ever.

Got the first pair from the Black Friday craziness. 3 eyelet derby on S in plum museum. Still waiting on the shipping notification from the second pair. Since I’m in no rush it’s kind of nice to have the delivery a little spaced out.

Anyone with more experience with the museum calf from vass have thoughts on conditioning? My pair seems like it could use it but I can't recall if their museum is a painted crust or something more stable- Renovateur, bick4, something else?

The 50 percent off F last Alt English Oxfords in Bordeaux museum calf arrived. The fit is near perfect in 45. Strangely enough, a Budapest Derby I own on the same last is 1/4 inch longer, despite being size 45, too. But the foot fits identically.

FYI: The shoes were made pre-COVID in January 2020, which might explain why Vass was eager to clear inventory.

I have three pairs of museum (dark brown, walnut and Bordeaux), and in each case Vass darkened the natural museum finish with a polish that matched the darkest tone of the mottling.

It's aniline leather dyed all the way through, not undyed crust. So you can condition and polish like any other aniline leather shoes.

Some people recommend using a polish to match the lighter shade of the museum coloring, but I found that, while it accentuates the lighter color, it leaves a dulling film over the darker color.

So far I've used Saphir Renovateur, followed by a light application of a cream polish to match the darker section of the museum effect.

I have no idea, I wanted to MTO a couple of belts and she told me that she is in contact with him to give me a position as he is part of the team again. I did not go further.
