From @gmehra an overview of all the lasts. https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...tures-reviews-sizing-etc.130044/post-10407948

"K last has a width / instep similar to the F last but this last also significantly more narrow toe box than the F last which causes some but not all people to go up a half size. The toe box is even more narrow than the U last. still runs true to size in terms of length"

Oh well, next time or just pay full price.

The K is like the U in fit: They come to a point and squeeze toes if you're not careful in sizing. Don't believe this stuff about K being wider than F. That's a joke. F fits me great with a little extra room at size 45. K at 45 strangled my toes, but I could have worn them with discomfort. Like others have mentioned, K and U width improves if you move a half size bigger, but then they would be a little too long.

Looking at that shape it looks like the K last was designed just for me.

Speaking of loafers, I wish Vass made this model regularly:

Pic from Mehra or Ascot, I think.

width of the K and F are similar around the middle part of your foot and in terms of instep. However K is much slimmer in the toe box vs the F last
