I couldn't resist at those buy one get one free prices before. The deer brown suede is darker than I expected, but will make a nice bad weather beater. One strange thing that stood out to me was these two pairs felt noticeably lighter and less stiff than my older pairs of single soled Vass. The antique cognac calfskin is quite nice and the P2 last just fits me so nicely.

I too suffered from your same problem, tried with inserts, 3/4 & half, gaping there. Even tried thin socks thick socks and without socks still gapping !!!!

Have you tried any other lasts from VASS ? I tried 3636 but in a smaller 1/2 size and no gapping but obviously I need to check if it fits in the correct size ....

Reluctant to buy again from VASS but so tempted by this NORWEGER, but unless I get testimonials of someone with flat feet who has no gapping, I will not buy another VASS.

I have flat, wider feet with low instep. While the facings stay nicely apart, the Norweger last (Peter) is the worst for me when it comes to gaping. I’m 43.5 in P2 and 44 in P btw.

Thank you for this, you might have saved me another £350.00 as I am 43.5 or 9 G sometimes.

I think I might end up buying a pair from Patine, the polish brand, they seem to have some nice designs and someone said they have excellent customer service, so if they pick up tomorrow, I will order from them.

And as Vladimir said earlier, maybe one day I will get a last made for me, but for now not risking another purchase with a potential gapping scenario.
And I am really annoyed that VASS changed their prices, 15% reduction in the discount, and if it wasn't that Hungary is on the quarantine list now, I was planing to go there for 2 days and shop around !

I was in Budapest at the end of August and tried on many shoes in the Vass boutique in person. I stayed in the shop for about two hours and chatted with a pleasant sales associate while trying on everything in sight. So naturally I had to ask what this all (50% off) means, whether the company was going out of business etc. I hope she was well informed on the company's direction, because she said by no means they're going out of business.

Back to your concern, we probably need similar size. But it's always hard to tell, as feet differ in shape. I only have one English maker shoe (Loake Export Grade Hannover Oxford), and that is size 9UK. They only made it on one last, I forgot its name. In Vass I am 43.5 in P2, 43.7 in 3636 (43.5 is a bit short but do-able, 44 is perfect, except with a thicker sock), and 44 in P (here I could theoretically go 43.5 lenghtwise and it would look nicer, but the front slant pushes my big toes inwards too early, so I have to go 44). In F I am 43.5, but 44 on monks (for some reason they seem tighter). I cannot at all do BP, as 44 is too loose in the heel, 43.5 is too tight in the front.

I received my Antique Cognac Theresianer P2 Vass shoes Yesterday and they fit really well trying them on. The tongue on the shoes is different on the calf pair than on the suede pair, the suede is a lot shorter.

They came with JR soles for 280€. They definitely look and feel better than the suede ones with Dainite soles. I guess I rather buy them with a leather sole and put a rubber sole over the original in the future.

I will have vacation days soon so I will take pictures and compare the fit on both pairs which supposedly should be the same.

At first try on it almost felt like I could have gone a full size down in the P2. I wear 42 in Peter and 42 in 3636 but bought 41,5 in P2.

I live in the U.S. as well. Were you able to checkout? I would be a bit annoyed if that was the case since I paid 397 + 40 euro shipping at checkout for the Color #8 shell longwing.
For sure , you do not pay VAT. Final price is 312 Euros + 40 Shipping. I bought already two pairs from the store.
