1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Fok on behalf of the entire Styleforum team

Everyone chill out. fwiw, I think that if someone has a problem finding some info on the web (it happens), that asking politely for a link or the info is not such a terrible thing, or even if it is, that it merits a descent into a catfight. Let's try to keep things in perspective, a little bit, maybe.

As someone who would also like to find it (without digging through the last 1,000 or so posts), I have no idea why everyone got so hostile.

The previous post was nearly 24+ hours ago, the thread was not exactly being derailed by an unreasonable inquiry...

    Thanks @Zapasman !

So, I know that none of you has noticed, but we have been quietly starting a little initiative to make things more accessible to users by pulling out posts into our article system, which is much more searchable, both using our search and using google. Hopefully, that will alleviate some of these types of conflicts. I'll actually make a "Vass price guide, 2016" article page right now. If anyone wants to volunteer to do a few of these... many hands make quick work.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Why isn't there a wiki in the first post of the thread covering the questions that are asked so often?

Because 98% of people coming into this thread dont start at the beginning of a 1232 page thread. I've gone through most of it, but I am a huge nerd.

With that being said, if you are volunteering to curate a FAQ, I am sure everyone would welcome your efforts.

Hi, could you put this in a spoiler, and put the GMTO and discussions of it in this subforum: http://www.styleforum.net/f/20926/p...r-trunk-shows-and-other-collaborative-efforts. I'll move all the discussion in this thread to date there. Please feel free to refer to the GMTO in your sig.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Mostly this. If you guys want to create a FAQ, I will not just put it into the first post, I will also make it into an articlle that you can all direct people to for basic (or even not so basic) questions. Just PM me the formatted text (please use rich text, it's so much easier), and I'll get that up nearly immediately.

If we're open to changes, please remove "porn" in the thread title.

Done. Google hates that anyway, and I'm sick of having to show them that we mean porn in the colloquial, not literal, sense. Sigh..

Thanks. I always thought IT would call me on the daily V"ass porn" hits.

Quote:It's less funny when you have had your google adsense account suspended and you are desperately explaining to the CS rep that "our porn is not that porn".

My new arrival. Mid brown suede, F last (G width).
Difficult to photograph but the colour is sublime.

Does the instep for g width increase a little when you upsize from the f width to G?
