My man!!!! Those look fantastic! What's modified about the last?

Thanx!
It's what Vass call semi-bespoke, so a standard last modified to your feet measurements. Had Rezsö to measure my feet at the Shoegazing Super Trunk we arranged in Stockholm last September.

I really like this.

May I ask whether this a MTO or stock model? Where did you pick it up and how much?

TIA

Thanks!

It's a MTO model. I wanted a classic shoe but with an addition design that's subtle. From the front it looks like any other cap-toe but I love the detailing at the side. I had visited Budapest to try on the last before making the order. I emailed Rezső from Vass with the details and size, and here are the shoes, about 2 months later. Price is 550 Euros +30 Euros shipping to the UK.

Took a second look and noticed the side profile, nice. I am still trying to dial in my size for Vass, appreciate the info.

Haven't been keeping myself up to date with Vass for a while. Have they started accepting payments via paypal or credit card?

Also, just wondering if anyone has any success modifying a last to fit a lower instep as part of MTO.

I believe they now accept card payment but not PayPal

Gentlemen - what's the best way to start a conversation with Vass re ordering? Any particular email address I should use? I sent one last night to [email protected] - is there a better one?

Boring request for sizing advice. I'm 9.5E in C&J 348 (Exmoor) last, 9.5 in Carmina Rain/Oscar/Simpson, 10E in G&G MH71. Would I be 43.5 in the Vass U last? My toes are not widely spaced or splayed.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's the right address, they'll get back to you eventually, and I'd say you're OK on the size there if you're narrow across the forefoot. The instep is quite generous, but my duck feet struggle in the toebox.

Concur on the sizing.

Remember to take vass default width into consideration which is F width. G&G default is E width. I can take MH71 and TH73 E width at 8uk and my U last is 42....
