There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Those look lovely !
IME getting vass to copy other makers' unique styles always leaves something/some proportions a bit off (although the materials/construction would be great).

In general, I would agree with you. Vass' OEII is spectacular and I love how a wingtip looks on the U-last. So I'm sure this would be a great match up. It's basically the OEII but with a wingtip instead of a cap toe.

I do not think Vass should modified its wingtip oxfords at all (Alt Wien Budapester F last).

Thanks. Wish I could darken a bit the colour (its shell).

    love the wingtips.
My pair in saddle shell have darkened considerably in two years of fall/winter wear. But i know what you mean-- after getting over the lovely colors of saddle shell, I am starting to prefer the darker shade for more frequent wear

From what little I can make out, Vass did an incredible job with these... Like, really good work! Seems the panels match and the shell is even, which, is an accomplishment in and of itself... That whiskey/saddle shade will darken considerably with regular wear and maintenance. Enjoy!

Yes, this batch is just perfect an homogeneous for such a colour. I am very pleased with the execution, model and the shell itself.
That is why Vass does not need to modifie its wingtips. To me this model is one of the best in the market,

Will need to wear them more...thats all. [IMG]

Does anyone here own any black shell Vass boots? Trying to decide between Vass and Alden for something casual and badass.

Alden. Their black shell finishing is insane.

I prefer the unfinished (un lacquered or w/o acrylic) version that Vass and other non Alden makers put out

    Hi all,

Looking to purchase my first pair of Vass and was hoping to draw on your collective expertise. I'm thinking MTO double monk (model 1064) in either museum calf plum or cordovan burgundy. Thoughts? Also, what last would be a good choice for this combo?

    Thanks!
