Sorry the sizing didn't work out for you. Hopefully you've got an idea which sizes and last would work for you now.

To clarify, you're looking to see a picture of gold museum calf shoes?

Awesome chukka! How did you size this? Say compared to Carmina or Alden or Allen Edmonds?

I'm generally a standard US 10D and don't take shoes built on narrow lasts very well. Everybody's feet is different though and mine have been through a lot of trauma.

Allen Edmonds - 10D in most lasts, a few I have to size up to 10.5D.
Alden - 10D on Plaza and Grant, 9.5D on Barrie
Carmina - 9UK on Rain (slightly uncomfortable taper), Detroit, and Inca.
Vass - 43 on the F (this last is like absolutely perfect for my feet), 43.5 on the U (slightly uncomfortable taper).

This chukka is sized 43, and the fit is very similar to the F last in the same size. The overall fit is roomier but comfortable. It's also surprisingly more sleek than I first thought just looking at pictures.

    Hope that helps.

Look for my last few pics in this thread. Pretty sure I posted a side by side of the 2 different shades. I'll see if I can find it.

    Edit: found it!

OzzyJones thank you sir you are far too kind & it seems like I have made a good choice :) it was this or red cognac color. But since I have stcjames 2 vintage cherry I was not sure how close vass red would be.

    You're very welcome.
Did you go for the light or dark gold?

Thank you. That was extremely helpful. I think Im now more confident of going 41.5 on P2 and F last. Can anyone wearing a 7.5UK carmina rain comment? Thanks!

I'm wondering this also. Or is there so much variance that two pairs of Museum Gold Calf can be that much darker/lighter than each other?

I'm visiting Europe next week and will be in Budapest for a few days. Planning to visit the Vass store. Hoping to get a few paris of shoes but had a question.

Does anyone know if they stock wide shoes? I can be a challenging fit and a standard width won't cut it.

Any other advice or thoughts from folks would also be most appreciated.

    Thanks!

I take 41 in P2 and F. F has a high instep that I don't fill out. P2 is good but a touch roomy overall. I take 7.5UK in Carmina rain and find it good everywhere but the heel, which is loose.
