I wonder what your guys take on the Vass 5150 might be, first pic? I wonder if Vass could do the same model but with broguing as in the second photoshopped pic? The third pic is an EG Wells that I ordered once but in a half size to small. The idea of having something very similar from Vass is appealing.

You'd be crazy to order 5150. n/m...joke, all look great. I've asked about the 5100 (second pic without heel counter) and Vass said at the time they were sold out and should make more. Seems like a classic derby to stock. Simple change if you want more brouging like the EG.

Nice. Would you say Antic Cognac is the closest to EG and GG's Oak?

^ Probably, but antic cognac is lighter than either EG or GG dark/vintage oak, and Vass's dark brown is darker than both. I'd say that Vass doesn't really have a color that's the equivalent of dark/vintage oak. Those are a bit darker than when I first got them, just from wear and application of clear polish. Just my opinion, but if you want something like dark/vintage oak from Vass, you should start with antic cognac and then use polish yourself to darken and burnish them.

Is there a difference in color wise between she'll cordoven burgundy vs she'll cordoven Bordeaux? I am guessing no there is no difference. Just wondered I do have vass she'll cordoven Bordeaux shoes & wondered if Carmina she'll burgundy would be same color or different. Any input would be appricated.

Seriously surprised that the 43 is also a bit long! I may have to try on a 42.5 & go wide!

Does anyone recall how much shipping is (to the US) when ordering MTO directly from the Budapest shop and which carrier they use? I'm assuming if they use FedEx that also comes with the standard import fees as well yes? Thanks

Oh the shipping cost would be 40 euro through FedEx at least that's what I was charged for one pair of shoe. Will be shipped fedex & import tax fee would be around 56 to 60$ etc

Ouch that's steep for import taxes. Did you order shell boots? Usually FedEx charges about 7 or 8 percent, at least that what it was from Carmina direct.
