    I were scrubs in my work so don't get time to actually break my shoes in & I guess it's bad to were brand new shoes straight out of the box. And walk for hours etc so yes wearing shorts chilling at home & breaking them in lol man it's a chore by itself.

    Hahaha no judgement I was just curious since I didn't see any trousers and people do wear argyle socks with shorts.

    I must say they look really great.
    I have an incoming pair myself, similar makeup and even the same size, in antique cognac.
    Looking forward to those.

    I usually tie mine at the second last eyelet or hook; allows for a little more freedom of calf movement

    @TtownMD

    Actually it looks like you have a fair bit of room at the top of the boot shaft. I have the same issue. My Vass boot shaft is pretty roomy, maybe because my calves are not chunky. But I would wear them tightened all the way, to the top eyelet.

    I didn't do that purposely I am not use to top shaft hitting my calf and because it's shell it's stiff I guess just not use to that feeling walking around with it.

    Same. I sit down, flex my foot back with my heel on the ground, so it would be the same flexion as walking up a steep hill, slightly curl my toes against the insole...and THEN I tie the laces.

    Since moving to Budapest in March I have visited the Vass shop a few times. Took the plunge today (first Vass purchases) and ordered an Oxford austerity single sole in F last oxblood with metal toe caps. And a London derby in U last Navy blue with dianite sole. Both 43.5. Slight heel slip on right shoe on both lasts (from samples tried) but they said they would sort that in production of my shoes. Three belts ordered, Bordeaux, Oxblood and Navy blue. All should be ready by end September. They have a fantastic suede travel bag for €600 which is definitely on my wish list.
