1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Ridiculous. Your dub monks are just ridiculous, RogerP. I'm amazed every time I see them.

    K looks great but I heard it is toe crunching? Do you go with a wider width?

    Cheers Don - they definitely rank among my faves.

    Definitely not for those with chubby or widely-splayed toes. I have quite slender toes and find K works in the same size and width as U and F for me. But I would not choose any of my K last pairs if, say, I were wearing the same pair of shoes to the office all day and then well into the evening for an after-work function. It is a relatively confining toe box, for sure.

    @Junior - that pair is pure class.

    I have 2 pairs in the pipeline right now and one of them is the RogerP special - oxblood K last DM. Every time you posted those things I couldn't help but think they were beautiful.

    Amazing double monks.

    I ordered almost the same model after seeing it either in one of Ascot Shoes' pictures or, more likely, RogerP's posts. Mine is F last, however. Wouldn't risk ordering K last without trying it on because by default my feet are not that good with narrow lasts. Have to tread carefully (pun intended), go down in size, go up in width, make sure it doesn't destroy the elegant look blah blah blah - that kind of thing is too risky when you order online. Still, I'd say K last looks even better on those monks than the F last. Not that there is anything wrong with F - after all, it's their stock model No. 64, only in oxblood, but the chiseled toe on K complements those monks beautifully.

    Yup I'm taking a risk with K, as I've never tried it on. U fits me fine, so hopefully K will as well.

    @RogerP

    Goyser is such a nice touch on a casual shoe. If I recall, you have a U wing in red cognac with Goyser, right?

    And I'm sure it exists, but your shots are always excellent:

    Top down of K and U side by side, por favor :)

    That oxblood makes me forget shell...though I recall seeing an "oxblood shell," too somewhere.

    Thanks my man. I think I have a top down comparison shot on my computer somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up later.

    And yes to the red cognac and Goyser also on U. In fact, my grey and black spectators are the same model and last as well, just without the Goyser.

    Damn, you're fast dude! I may have to retract that earlier post, though. Those blue austerity brogues were ordered as U, and I was told they were U, but after wearing them and examining them more closely I am convinced they are actually K. One of those charming examples of Vass getting a not insignificant detail wrong. Thankfully, I like them a whole bunch as is.

    Haha I looked at every single one of your double monk pics in this thread, several of them multiple times. I always make sure to research thoroughly before making purchases. The thing about your pics is most of them (if not all) don't show up in the gallery view in the top right of this thread. I'm not sure how you're linking them but it makes them more difficult to find.
