^The side/edge of the sole looks like it's more flush to the upper than usual. Just wondering if you specified that or had it trimmed after you got them. I'm guessing neither. I agree that Tom is a reliable and trustworthy and that 6-8 weeks is normal. I ordered mine at the very start of the frenzy, in late Feb. The problem is that I wanted dainite soles, and Tom only discovered later on that they don't use those. He tried to get them direct from dainite, but they didn't come before he left Hungary. My statement should have made it clear that I wasn't blaming Tom. That said, Vass uses Vibram products. Does anyone know if Vibram makes a sole comparable to the usual Dainite one? Or does anyone have a spare Dainite sole lying around?

Thanks for the idea. I think Tom thought of this, but we didn't know exactly how it would work.

+1. I think he posted an update recently on his sales thread but I'm sure Tom will sort everybody out. I had some lingering issues with the courier after my delivery which Tom made sure to address.

Ed, the shoes are gorgeous. Did you get toe taps? If so, metal or rubber?
