Why wide fitting? Isn't the standard F last width wider than all off the ones you've cited?
Edit: Mimo beat me to it!

If wide fit is not necessary, then shall I size down from 43 to 42.5 for a F-last double monk?

    Thanks!

I have no experience of your comparator shoes but don't EG and G&G run small? If so, I'd go 42.5

This Forum one dangerous place - who's giving you advice to go for wide fitting?

Like Mimo, a 43 normal would be suffice.

I wear a UK 9E in EG 888 and 82 and UK9E in Anthony Cleverley.

I wear a 43 standard width in each of the U, K and F lasts. I do not size down for F. I find that all 3 lasts have a similar fit at the heel, through the instep and at the forefoot - the main difference is the shape of the toe box, with the round-toed F being the most accommodating.

That said, none of my F-last Vass shoes are double monks. But I have no reason to believe fit will be different simply because of that style. My lone K-last shoe is a double monk.

Gyasih, those plum museum austeritys are absolutely fantastic. I'm beginning to have second thoughts about my planned gold or brown museums....
And how about somebody creative create a new thread "The ultimate Vass sizing porn"...? When you have like 23 unread posts and they are all about size speculations in either F, U or P2...?

Vass has new museum colors. Museum green and museum merlot.

Haven't seen any pics of the shoes made up, just the leather itself, laid out.
