1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Can't wait for mine too - i ordered the same, but went for f last, we'll see what the sizing difference is. Would be interested in getting a norweger next time around.

Is that an F last double monk? If so, please post pics... I can only find U last double monks but prefer the fit of F last.

    Bordeaux cordovan in P2 last
    Bordeaux calf in F last

Is the P2 a bit more forgiving/wider in the forefoot than the F last?

I had my heart set on an F-last oxford but have heard that it might not be the best last for my foot (wide forefoot, narrow heel).

FWIW, I have a narrow heel myself and find that the F last hugs quite nicely, better than the 888, 337 or 8000.

Is there anyone who gets same sizes on both F and U lasts or do most people go half a size down on F last?

Medtech, yes i ordered F -last double monks. crossing my fingers that they don't look to bulbous; quite like the u-last, but yes, doesn't fit me very well. Will definitely post pics when my couple pairs get here in jan!

i think it depends on the shape of the foot and how they fit the last, i was ok with both being the same size

why i sold my U lasts were i did not like the shape of it

i pretty much prefer the "normal" sole - better balance.

can you confirm that f-last models are available with a standard single or double sole?

I agree. I like the single sole better on my oxfords and now get them exclusively that way. On my derbies I still get the double sole. Single or double are available in F last.

I'm not sure what happened there but I'll repost when I get back from the holidays early next week.
