    gorgeous stuff Roger

were those MTO? or if RTW, are they available in double-sole? i like the stout looks of the 2xsole.

btw is there a retail price list online?

    Monsieur le Trompe,

Vass price list is attached, plus the following I received last week:

"Currently we need some 6-7 weeks for
production. We are shipping only by FedEx and you can pay by wire transfer
    only.
The shipping costs some 35.- Euro. Please find enclosed to this email our
current price list. The prices contains VAT. You should deduct 20% from the
    prices.
We do have all calf leathers, all colors. Also Cordovan in some colors,
ostrich, shark, cayman. Are you looking for some special colors?

Ostrich shoes are for 730.- Euro, shark shoes are for 600.- Euro, the caiman
shoes are for 1110.- Euro, this prices are already VAT free!"

    Hope this helps.

    Good info, Mimo.

Trompe - thanks - I purchased these from reseller Notch, who advertises on this forum. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't be available in a double sole.

Trompe le monde: You will be able to order them with double sole (at the end of the year when the new museum calf arrives) but it will be MTO. Rogers shoes are also MTO, the only ones that count as RTW nowadays is the exact models shown on their site.

^^^ In the context of premium footwear, Vass shoes are a screaming value.

I agree Roger, I need to nail down my size. I wear a US 11 and purchased a pair of 44 in F Last, but it has a high instep and I saw a small crease right in front of toe cap. I wear 10.5US in 337 & other CJ handgrade lasts. 10.5/11E in EG 82/888, 10/10.5E in 606, so you can see my dilemma.

^^^ Yes, e-sizing is an inexact science at best. It's never really nailed down until you take the plunge and see how the shoes fit for yourself. Just understand the return policy of the vendor before you buy.

Thanks, I actually purchased a pair and ended up selling them. Your photos, as well as some others are making me want to test the waters again.

Hopefully your previous purchase was close enough that you could order with more confidence this time around.

44, F-Last. Creasing right in front of right toe cap, laces completed closed after third wear.

Vass makes pretty short internal toe caps, shorter than the outer toe cap, so it's not that uncommon that you get creases in front of the outer toe cap seam. Could still be a bad fit with your shoes of course, just saying that the crease on the cap doesn't necessarily means this when it comes to Vass.
