Dover made by vass? Looks great!
I think this might be his Plan B mentioned a few pages back...the friend of a friend in Northhampton...
Namor--do you take a size 11.5UK in EG?
Yeah 11.5uk in EG
Received my austerity brogue boots yesterday. The delivery was delayed for 4 weeks due to them being out of saddle cordovan, and then there were some minor delays on top of that. Hopefully the sun will be out tomorrow so that I can take some pictures.
Quote:This sounds like Vass sizing deviates considerably on smaller sizes....
Definitely. Vass seems bigger than standard for the smaller sizes.
gorgeous. who is the maker?
are these dovers made by Vass?
Quote:No, these are made by a freelance shoe maker based in Northampton. He does freelance work for the likes of JL, EG and others....Was introduced by a friend and I'll find out in a few months time when it's fully complete....
Quote:Austerity brogue boots in saddle cordovan shell......Lots of sun and pics please??
Raining cats and dogs over here today I'm afraid, so the pictures will, unfortunately, have to wait for now.
Quote:Some indoor pics will do for my boot fix today... ;-)
New shoes delivered. Vass medallion wholecut, U-last 41G, oxblood, single leather sole, sunken toetaps. One picture next to the F-lasted OE i wore today.
Anyone with a U last in 40? Can you measure the outsole L and W? Trying to narrow down my size. Thanks!
