1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Anyone who can afford Vass and goes to Budapest must stay at the
    Gresham Palace:

    http://www.fourseasons.com/budapest/photos_and_videos/

I stayed there. Extraordinary. But then, I love Art Nouveau
architecture. I also visited Vass looking to buy something
very Austro-Hungarian. No go. They couldn't fit me.

I really like those. Can you tell they are blue in average lighting?

in natural light, yes, you can def see the blue. Indoors, sometimes, but more likely will be taken for black.

don't even know what that means [IMG]

BTW, there have been some questions in terms of Tom and some outstanding orders, I have no idea where Tom is and hope everything is OK but I can vouch that Tom is a stand up guy and those awaiting shoes will get them. Keep in mind that 6-8 weeks is normal for Vass orders. Also, Kolecho is a great Vass seller, not to take any business away from Tom but Kolecho is a great Vass resource for those looking to purchase shoes.

^The side/edge of the sole looks like it's more flush to the upper than usual. Just wondering if you specified that or had it trimmed after you got them. I'm guessing neither. I agree that Tom is a reliable and trustworthy and that 6-8 weeks is normal. I ordered mine at the very start of the frenzy, in late Feb. The problem is that I wanted dainite soles, and Tom only discovered later on that they don't use those. He tried to get them direct from dainite, but they didn't come before he left Hungary. My statement should have made it clear that I wasn't blaming Tom. That said, Vass uses Vibram products. Does anyone know if Vibram makes a sole comparable to the usual Dainite one? Or does anyone have a spare Dainite sole lying around? [IMG]

wasn't directing it at you, was not even aware you had an order with Tom. have you thought of send ing the shoes to B. Nelson? he posts here and he is the only person I know that offers Dainite soles.

Thanks for the idea. I think Tom thought of this, but we didn't know exactly how it would work.

+1. I think he posted an update recently on his sales thread but I'm sure Tom will sort everybody out. I had some lingering issues with the courier after my delivery which Tom made sure to address.
