1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Anyone have any thoughts on how a penny loafer would look on the f-last?

I've been lusting after some loafers, not sure whether to go with the C+J harvard or wait till the next vass order and get a penny loafer cordovan on the F last...

Yeah thats what i was going to go for, perhaps in a (slightly) darker shade, perhaps cigar.

Would one size down a half for a penny loafer? Would make sense... despite the fact that i haven't gotten the two f last shoes from the last order a few weeks ago...i'm already planning what to get next time lol. I have a double monk in F on the way and an F last austerity brogue...

I was thinking penny loafer and some sort of oxford - haven't seen much of vass' penny loafers though. Perhaps also another austerity brogue, i really love those.

i would think it might be a good idea to size down by half, but it also depend on how the F last fit you generally

i like Vass's simple perf cap toed oxford the best

I am a bit confused by the Vass' sizing. Can any of the Vass experts say which last has each shoe?
The suede one is in size 41, calf in 42. [IMG] Both fit fine except that probably a little bit wide in the heel area, which can be seen on the photo.

Here are my new Vass; they just arrived today. We were in Budapest in September and I got my feet measured at that time.

Alt Wien MTM on the New Peter last, in burgundy:
